- A personal computer with Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0/2000.
- 16 MB of RAM for Windows 95 and Windows 98; or 24 MB of RAM for Windows NT 4.0/2000.
- A Windows-compatible laser or inkjet printer with a resolution of 300-dpi or higher.
- An Internet connection through an online service such as America Online; an Internet service provider (ISP) such as U S WEST, Netcom, AT&T WorldNet, or Earthlink; or a direct connection such as a corporate local area network (LAN).
