The U.S. Maritime Administration And Intermodal Giant, ITS Technologies & Logistics, LLC Join The High-Profile Roster Of Speakers At The Second Annual North American Port & Intermodal Finance & Investment Summit

Elizabeth Megginson, the Chief Counsel and Acting Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Maritime Administration and Tom Stangl, the President of ITS Technologies & Logistics, one of the largest operators of intermodal facilities in North America, have joined the distinguished line-up of speakers at Infocast's 2nd Annual North American Port & Intermodal Finance & Investment Summit. The Summit is scheduled for October 20-22 in Houston, Texas.

As the Keynote Speaker, Ms. Megginson will head the roster of over 60 high-profile speakers at the second edition of this well-regarded event that brings together leading players from the port and intermodal as well as shipping, financial and public policy communities to explore the ways in which the public and private sectors can work together to create a secure and thriving port and intermodal infrastructure for the future.

Ms. Megginson, who began her career in Washington D.C. as the Chief of Staff for former Louisiana Congressman Billy Tauzin, will bring an eclectic wealth of experience to her role as the Keynote Speaker. Prior to joining the Maritime Administration, Ms. Megginson served as Majority Chief Counsel to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure for six years and, for the previous five years as Majority Chief Counsel for the House Committee on Natural Resources.

Mr. Stangl who, as President of ITS Technologies & Logistics, recently oversaw the acquisition of a majority interest in his company by The Carlyle Group, will appear as one of the key participants in a session devoted to "Intermodal Perspectives" on Wednesday, October 22nd. In addition, Richard Chang, one of the principals of The Carlyle Group, will appear in a separate session on "Investors Perspectives" scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st. The Carlyle Group is a global private equity firm with $81.1 billion under management committed to 60 funds.
